PICK ONCE
Each week, you will
submit one golfer as your player for that tournament, and you earn
whatever your player earns for the week. However, you are allowed
to select a golfer only once per season. Once you use Tiger, you
cant use him again. This game is very similar to Cut Golf in
this regard.
The rules:
- Your selection
can be made (and changed) until tee time oof your selected golfer.
- If you fail to
make a selection in any week, you will earn no money for that week.
- If you make a duplicate
selection, you will be counted as failing to make a selection. I
will attempt to notify you of your mistake if I can, but I can only
do that if you dont wait until the last minute to make your selection. Selection
history will be available on the leaderboard.
- Any PGA tour golfer
is eligible, the eligible list is not restricted to the golfers yahoo
has in the 3 groups (A, B, C).
- If your golfer
pulls out of the tournament or gets DQd, it still counts as your
use of that player, UNLESS your guy pulls out AFTER the submission deadline
and BEFORE the start of play. Youll end up with $0 for the
week (you wont be able to choose a replacement). However,
you will still be able to use the golfer in a later tournament. You
will not be counted as a failing to make a selection.
If you golfer MCs, you score $0 for that week. You cant
use him again.
- The tournament
Yahoo is using for the week is the same tournament Pick Once will be
using as the eligible tournament.
- The first week
of play will be the first YAHOO! tournament. Play will conclude
with THE TOUR Championship (this is also the end of YAHOO! Golf).
As far as figuring
out whos playing in which tournament, youre on your own. I
recommend checking out www.pgatour.com/tournaments on Monday or Tuesday
before the tournament begins. The will have a link to a tournament
page, which will in turn have a link to the field. But check back
often for WDs. If your guy WDs prior to the tournament, you will
score $0 for the week, AND you will have used that players eligibility
for the game.
