MONTHLY TOURNAMENT

Welcome to the return of the monthly tournament (actually 4 week tournament even when it is a 5 week month). Each month each BESTballer group will have their own monthly tournament. The last month will be one inter-league tournament to crown the overall champion.

After the first week of the seaons the top 16 teams in each bestballer group qualify for the first months tournament and also establishes their seeding position. All 16 get one point towards a spot in the year end tournament.

Monthly Tournament Schedule
Week 1 - H2H with 8 teams eliminated. Winning 8 get two aditional points towards year end.

Week 2 - H2H with 4 teams eliminated. Winning 4 get three additional points towards year end.

Week 3 - H2H with 2 teams eliminated. Winning 2 get four additional points towards year end and an automatic bid into the next month's tournament.

Week 4 - Top two vie to be the monthly champion. Winner gets 6 additional points towards year end.

Also week 4 all the other players vie for 14 slots in the next month's tournament. All 16 qualifiers get one point towards year end.

This system continues for 8 monthly tournaments. The last 4 weeks the top 5 point getters from each group and the highest of remaining players qualify for the inter-group end of year tournament.

1st place - 16 points
2nd place - 10 points
3rd and 4th - 6 points
5th thru 8th - 3 points
9th thru 16th - 1 point

How do I play the game?
All you have to do is be a member of one of our BESTballers Yahoo! Fantasy Golf Groups, play Yahoo! Fantasy golf, and let us "greenskeepers" take care of the rest.

When is the game scored?
The leaderboard is updated after each completed round of golf. We do our best to score the game the same evening Yahoo! updates their scores. The Total Points Leaderboard and History are updated the day after a tournament is completed.
