Mendoza INFORMATION

Have you ever wondered how'd you do if you just chose the best available player? Ever wonder what would happen if you changed to the hot golfer after each round? Well the guest_bb ID will be used to test just that. It will be our gauge to see how we're doing against a theoretical baseline.

It will be our Mendoza Line.

Here's how it will be used.

• Before each tournament the best available golfer will be selected from each group.
• The golfers with the highest average fantasy points per tournament will be started in round 1.
• For rounds 2 thru 4 the golfer with the most fantasy points from the previous round (not total points for the tourney) will be started for the next round. We’ll chase the “HOT” golfer.
  If two golfers are tied for the previous round the total points for the tournament will be used, then highest average fantasy points per tournament, then a coin toss.
  • Final round Bonus Point exception - If a golfer has not been started in any of the first three rounds and is within two strokes of third place he will be started in the final round regardless of third round results. Gotta chase those bonus points.
  • Final round Saving Starts exception: If a golfer has not been started all tournament and he will not be started unless his third round score is three or more strokes better than the others. No reason to use a start if he is just a stroke or two better and has no chance at bonus points.
