The BCC is our version of the Ryder Cup. Each week you'll try to earn points towards being a member of your BESTball Cup Challenge (BCC) Team. During the PGA Championship (Aug 12-18) a 12 member Red team will go against the 12 member Blue team. This game is limited to the managers in the Red and Blue Groups.

Each week leading up to the PGA Championship, the managers with the top 10 scores in each group will be awarded BCC points. We will be using the scoring system used by the PGA Tour. Points awarded each week are as follows:

Yahoo! Bonus Points are included in the scoring.

Points will be doubled during the Majors. (300 pts. for first, 180 for second, etc)

The captains are:
RED : Justin Mangold
BLUE : John Karben

The top ten players with the most BCC point plus two captain choices will make up the teams. There will also be two alternate captain choices made. If any of the original 12 team members do not field a full team the alternates will take their place. If there are more than two, the player(s) with the next most BCC points will then join the team.

This will set up a 12 member Team RED vs. a 12 member Team BLUE tournament of top performers from each group over the whole season. The tournament will be played during the PGA Championship.

The tournament format will be:
** Round 1 - Thursday will have 6 matches of 2 vs. 2. Bestball Format
** Round 2 - Friday will have 6 matches of 2 vs. 2. Match Play Format
** Round 3 - (holes 1, 2 and 3) Saturday will be 12 matches of 1 on 1. Match Play Format
** Round 3 - (holes 4, 5 and 6) Sunday will be continuation of Round 3

All pairings and match-ups will be determined by the Captains.

Round Scoring Details:

Round 1 - Thursday will have 6 matches of 2 vs. 2. Bestball Format:
You and your teammate will compare your A Player points, your B Player combined points and C Player points and take the higher of the two for each. Add the points together and compare them to your opponents. Win and get 1 point for your BCC Team. Tie and each BCC Team receives a ½ point.

Round 2 - Friday will have 6 matches of 2 vs. 2. Match Play Format:
The BCC Team Captain will determine between you and your partner who will play holes 1 through 3 (manager 1) and who will play holes 4 through 6 (manager 2). Manager 1's A Player score will be hole one, B Player combined score will be hole 2 and C Player score for hole 3. In the same fashion Managers 2's A, B and C Players will be holes 4 through 6.

So in Match Play Format we'll play the Team RED's 6 holes vs. Team BLUE's 6 holes. Tie a hole and you push, win a hole and your 1 up. Win and get 1 point for your BCC Team. Tie and each BCC Team receives a ½ point.

Round 3 - Saturday/Sunday will be 12 matches of 1 on 1. Match Play Format:
The 1 on 1 Match Play will be played in the same fashion as Round 2 with Saturday scores being holes 1 through 3 and Sundays being holes 4 through 6. Win and get 1 point for your BCC Team. Tie and each BCC Team receives a ½ point.

All scoring is based on active golfers.

There are 24 points up for grabs.

Should there be a tie after all matches are played (12pts. each side), We will take the combined score of all 12 members (NO BONUS). Should it still be tied, we will take the combined score of all active 'A' players, then 'B' players, etc till a winner is decided.
