PGA Parlay 2003

Scoring by: Mark Cunningham-Golf Fanatic, Bestballers Black.

Each week I will e-mail you by Monday evening a list of 10-15 questions about that week’s PGA Tournament. Works just like a parlay card. You don’t have to answer every question. You start off the season with $0 and cost you $1 for each question you guess at.

----PAYOUT----

$2 for over/under questions. (2-1)

$3 for top 5 finisher. (3-1)

$8 for fill in the blanks. (8-1)

To sign up, send me an e-mail to jbmmcunning@msn.com including your name, team name, and e-mail address.  Once you sign up you will continue to receive the e-mail each week. No need to request it each week.

Person with the most money at the end WINS! Remember, this isn’t real money!

Here are the details:

1.       Picks need to be returned via e-mail by 7:00 A.M. EST the morning of the first round.

2.       PGA Parlay is available to all members of Bestballers.

3.       PGA Parlay 2003 begins Thursday, February 13th, 2003, with the second tournament of the season and ends with the last, The Tour Championship. 39 tournaments.

4.       You do not have to participate every week, although it is recommended.

5.       Please do not change your team name.

6.       We will be using the same tournament as Yahoo.

7.       Okay. Onto how you play the game. There will be two types of questions on the sheet. One of them will be Fill In The Blank and the other one will be Over/Under.

8.       Fill in the blank explains itself. Here are two examples:

Who will win The Masters?

 David Duval  (8-1)

Name up to three of the top five finishers at The Kemper Open.

1. K.J. Choi              (3-1)

2. Davis Love III       (3-1)

3. Jesper Parnevik   (3-1)

9.   Over/Under works like this. If the over/under is 17 ˝ and you choose under, you think the score will be -17, -16, -15, and below. If you choose over, you think the score will be -18, -19, -20, and above.  Each over/under question will have an example included to avoid confusion. Here are two examples:

How many strokes under par will Sergio Garcia be this week at The Greater Milwaukee Open?  8 ˝             (2-1)

How many strokes under par will the winner be?  25 ˝  (2-1)

10.  Questions will be thrown out only if the golfer does not start the tournament or withdraws prior to hitting a single ball.

I will keep score each and every week. I will send all participants the leaderboard, and everything will also be posted on the web site.

Good luck this golf season and may the best man win! Again, any questions send me an e-mail.
